e had our first metting on Thursday, September 12th. There were 46 out of 168 members present. I guess that's not too bad. We also had 7 new members join. Here is a recap of what we talked about in case you missed it (shame on you) or forgot what was talked about.
- First we announced the Bowling Club presidency. Devin Anderson is President, Liz Filichia is Vice President, Jeremy Lindblom is the Treasurer/Bouncer, and Kurt Barton is the Secretary.
- We then talked about our upcoming games: prices, places, etc. The games will be held on Wednesdays after school at AMF Lanes on Southern and Gilbert near Yoko's. Our first game is Wednesday the 18th, other games will be announced later. Games will go from after school to around 5:00 to 5:30. The cost is $1.50 for shoes and one game. Additional game prices are unknown but will probably be at a reduced price.
- We also made two decisions/announcements at the meeting. The first is that there is no official transportation to and from the alley. We are all going to have to carpool, so make sure to catch a ride with your buddies or walk (it's not too far, only a 1/2 mile.) The second is that we are not going to have teams. You may bowl with whom you want to. Teams we tried last year but they did not work out well and they were too much of a hassle.
